McBride Renshaw avalanche 2016 Memorial plate

Jan. 28, 2017 most of our group and John Garley's family and some friends went up to the avalanche site.

While there we put a Memorial Plate up near the avalanche site, on a tree almost where the helicopter had landed below on that day a year ago.

Here is pic of the plate we had made up and a picture once we installed it.




The GPS coordinates are N53°31.599' W120°00.568'

such a sad event. hopefully this beautiful plaque is some comfort.

Thanks for doing this. One of the guys at work, it is one of his friends who passed away in this avalanche and he was there when this all went down. I will show this to him.

It sure is. My dad's cousins brother in law was one of the 5.
We were on Belle that day. Remember hearing about it as we were having dinner. Was such horrible news
