M1000 turbo gearing question

So the kid wants to get some track speed back on his TM1000 after putting in a Diamond lite with M8 (57/63) gearing. Has anybody tried going to 62/58 gearing, and if so how did it work out? He was going to just go back to stock 60/60, but BDX is out of them. Out of 61/59 too. Lots of 59/61 but he'd rather go up from stock than down if it'll work OK.

I am planning on putting 62/58 in my M1000 this winter. It'll work well, i know a couple of guys that have done it and not had any issues other than it makes it a little tougher on belts at times. But mine hasn't destroyed a belt yet so it's all good.

Hard to say.....speedos been on the stock hood in my carport ceiling for 3 years. :d Noticeably slower than it was with the stock 60/60, and allowing the engine to over rev with no clutching changes. Never did that before.
