Hey guys im a ama quad guy on this site and im buying a sled. new to the sled world and i am looking for everyones 2 cents. looking a 2006 rev 800 i have pretty much decided on eithere a skidoo or a cat for sure. i just want your 2 cents on thsi sled or a skidoo sled so i can atleast have some knowledge before i buy one thanks. here is the link to the one i am looking at. 2006 REV fully upgraded snowmobile - Calgary Snowmobiles For Sale - Kijiji Calgary Canada. thanks guys

06 summits are the best sled u could buy out of the box back then and kind of now

had a 04 rev - was a great working sled - with a little clutch work its even better - decisions - decisions!

06 Revs are the best of the bunch. I would say 5500 is a little steep although it looks like a clean machine. 3500 km's is getting up there on the original top end but I am sure you could still ride it (some people say you can get 10 000 km's out of that motor). I did the top end on mine at 3000 km's and I now have about 8000 on it. Main thing with a REV is the front end / bulkhead bends really easy so make sure it is straight (the tips of the skis should be parallel).

Other than that you could spend 14 000 on a new M8 or get a REV for 5 grand and love it just as much. They really are fun sleds.
