Post the mile/km you have on your factory turbo as well as any issues you had.
Just to get a better understanding of the quality of these engines under boost.

Pretty sure there is 2020.5 in Sicamous that got a new motor a little past 10,000km. Also would bet the 2020.5s were likely the better built ones out there. Lots of them seemed to have been survivors.

I just bought a used 22 with 2600 kms and I was a bit apprehensive about it, but looks like theres no reason I shouldn’t be able to get a good bit of use outa her yet! Im religious about warming it up. My sleds don’t move an inch until the cooler is warm to the touch.

regarding the turbos, can’t remember where it states it (either owner’s or service manual) but yer supposed to let the engine idle for 30sec after running it especially if you’ve just been on the throttle pretty good. that bubbling sound after engine shutoff you sometimes hear is coolant boiling all up in the turbo.

Coolant boiling, care to explain that a little better. That’s something everyone hears but no rhyme of reason why

because the turbo which is liquid cooled is hot enough to boil the coolant around it at engine stop. ‘least that’s what I heard from a local mechanic and on other forums.
another interesting thing is that part of the storage procedure for the turbos that’s described in the service but not owner’s manual is to add 5ml of 2 stroke oil to the turbo via the bleeder screw.
