LED headlight bulbs versus Halogen

Looking to get brighter haeadlights on my FJ cruiser as I work in the O&G industry and looking at LED bulbs versus Halogen. Are they that much brighter and worth it? Do they work in the existing headlight assembly without issue?

Why not use a light bar or extra lights?

As suggested above get a lightbar LED's do not generate very much heat, you may have problems with the icing over if you do a retrofit. Then you have no lights period. Best of both worlds
