The Sledhead Think Tank was envisioned as an empowering opportunity for everybody to be heard and respected as we work toward a shared goal of zero fatalities in the backcountry.

Key players in the mountain safety community came together to celebrate a cultural shift toward a core value of safety within our backcountry sledding communities.

In partnership with the Canadian Avalanche Centre, Ghostrider Motorsports, SnoRiders Magazine and AST training providers--Zac’s Tracs and College of the Rockies--Teck developed this community-centred program to address the needs of our local backcountry sledding community.

The Think Tank’s approach was strongly informed by the values-based approach to safety that is utilized in Teck’s life-changing Courageous Safety Leadership program.

With the essential contributions of all partners, the Sledhead Think Tank delivers life-saving knowledge in a way that honors the experience and wisdom of our backcountry enthusiast community.

IMHO, participation in events like this reflect directly on the image of the snowmobiling community. If you can go to this, you should.
