I am having these uncontrollable urges! I keep looking at the prices on the Nytro MTX in Montana and am very tempted to buy one. Here is my thought process but i have some questions.
I was thinking of buying one, riding it stock this season. Then this spring sell my turbocharged honda civic that i drag race and put that money towards a turbo kit for the nytro. I only drag race my car for fun at street legals so thats what i would do on the sled as well.
The problem is i know nothing about drag racing snowmobiles. To me it looks like they just put on a different track, ski's, and tweak the suspension settings. They must re gear and change the clutch weights to match the elevation as well. Do people even drag race the mountain sleds or just the bump sleds? Anyone have any sled drag racing contacts?
If i did setup the sled with the turbo, then i would in theory have a fun summer racing machine as well as a wicked winter toy.
Thoughts/comments are greatly appreciated, including ones where you think im an idiot for dreaming up this idea. Watching thunderstruck 6 doesnt help either
thanks
