i'm thinking the decision is coming,' do you want to be a communist or not'? should be in a province near you soon.
We have already become socialist country in the past couple years with Trudeau. Now with half the people pissed at the PC party, the NDP will get a majority next election in Alberta. Glad I don't have kids. No way out now. Veterans fought to stop this invasion. But we are so stupid , handing over the country with no fight at all.

We've been a socialist country for long as I can remember!
That's what "free" health care is, that is what public schools are, that's what welfare is. Socialist government programs..

Call it whatever you want. Universal education and universal healthcare are common in Western Society, I don't think you can find a Canadian born person that hasn't taken advantage of either of these. The US is the only developed country without universal healthcare.

Its called socialism. Didn't say if it was good or bad or not, you can decide that for yourself. But that's what it is.

:realmad: JUST WONDERING ......LOTS OF POLITICAL POSTS...........

Yup, i have heard plenty of people that no longer view this forum and have moved to other power sport forum instead. There is a limit, the regulars will always hang out.
I come on S&M to get away from daily stresses, unfortunately this forum adds to the stresses because of lack of control of what S&M is about.
Ever notice that the drivers of such threads add very little to power sports in general, which is what this forum is about....interesting. I believe most of them have mush for brains and that is the best they can do to contribute to power sports, spread and stir up BS.

Politics is inversely proportional to snow conditions.

You may be right. When there is no snow politics talk multiplies on the site.

Absolutely. Look at the history. Late season starts and everyone is beotching, whining, complaining, and running everything down. When we have long cold/dry spells in the winter, the same thing.

A guy just has to be man enough to understand and go with the flow or pack a suitcase and leave, never to be heard from again. I choose to stick around and ignore what I don't like.

Spoken from a fine man who holds common sense close to his heart. If you don't like a particular thread you need to understand you are not morally or legally obligated to follow it or participate in it?

Dootalk does not tolerate political talk. Its in the rules when yah sign up, and you will get a open forum warning, if not from a moderator, but from another member as well.
A powersports forum should be just that, I dont know why Dootalk even has a general discussion forum to begin with.
Start a topic about lumber, supply chain, etc, how do those topics not turn political?
IMO get rid of them all together and stick to powersports threads and forums.

The other problem at the moment, some have more time on there hands than others. Not thats a bad thing, its just the hand thats dealt at the moment, everyone’s in the same situation with this facking virus. Others are in a tighter spot than some, frustrations are high, and patients are running out. How can some topics not turn political?

Maybe this Site needs the no politics rule? I dunno, its easy to scroll by and ignore, but there is also a saying about rabbit holes as well.

Well as long as it sticks to Just About Anything Goes, it should not be an issue. If its bashing someone or is something that is very controversial that is truly questionable it will be removed. There are different forums for different things. I think you can actually chose not to view a forum or section as well.

I’m on a couple of sites that also don’t allow political gossip. It’s nice to not have to wade through all the bs.

I'm also on a few different sites all ranging in their common respective activity, non tolerate political non sense you can find on this forum.
I got interested in S&M because it is a Western Canadian power sport forum, but certain individuals seem to turn it into a political circus.
Funny its always the same clowns.

The world is a huge land mass, you should be able to find a safe place somewhere? Sounds like you already found several, yet you want to change this site to your Utopian ideal. You rag on threads you don't like, yet you still read them, why? You don't like someones posts , easy there is an ignore button, but still u still choose to read them and complain, why? There are 17 sections you can be in all day 24/7, yet you still visit the thread that has some political discussion and complain, why? In that one section there may be 10 threads with any political content and at least a hundred that have none. yet you complain, why? You call people clowns, why? Those who point fingers usually have three pointing back at them. There is a myriad of people here with different experiences and ideas, as long as the rules are followed i don't see a problem. There are mountains of snow out there, your here beotching, why are you not out riding?
