Irricana AB gravel pit MARCH 2022

Last year we used to hit irricana every weekend, until covid hit and everyone was at home, so there ended up being like 150 trucks in the pits and one day the cops came and shut it all down, a little while later we drove by to go see if anything was changed and there was a sign saying no trespassers not open to the public, and now it’s been about a year so wondering if anyone knows what the current state of it is? Thanks

A few years ago, while I was in the east Kootenays, there was a municipal movement afoot to fence and close the gravel pits due to liability concerns. IMHO, it was just another closure against motorized backcountry use.
