Rode the Iht on sleds today between smokey lake and ashmont for the first time was a lot of fun (will definitely be doing it again when there is more snow)

A few of us just about stranded ourselves in the cold out there a few years ago. We didn't think it would be an issue because there's a town every few km. No gas at Bellis. No gas at Villna. No gas at Spedden. We finally found a gas station on the highway close to Ashmont.

There have been a few changes....
1) That Ashmont station along the highway is now closed
2) There is a gas station a mile east of Bellis along highway 28 (it was closed for a while due to a fire but they rebuilt)
3) The Spedden motel/restaurant along the highway is now open and they now sell fuel too.

But I am not sure how far into the evening these places are open so plan smart.

Between vilna and ashmont there was a lot of untouched trail only animal tracks so there was 4 to 6 inches and smokey to bellis there was a few bare spots

No it was fine the temp gauge never got above 56c and I always watch it like a hawk

How is the Iht around smokey lake or St. Paul is it rideable, any new snow?
