As a young teen our dad fix up his 1968 Olympic ski doo and let us ride it in the fields of the family farm back in Northern Ontario. 20 years later I was reintroduced to snowmobile but in Golden BC. It became an instant passion. Now everything free weekend in the winter is spent getting out to Valemont and McBide with friends and the RMK. Far from the 1968 Olympic, the mountains and the evolution of sledding has definitely matched the feeling of excitement being 13 on an open field.
