how much boost?

its a 2010 nytro with a impulse turbo with 2871 turbo and the race intercooler and head shim im running straight av gas and was wondering whats the most boost i can run it at.

I would say 16-17. 18-19 would be on the edge for stock rods from what I've heard. I would personally. Phone an impulse dealer

MCX runs 17-18 on premium pump gas with the head shim....

i dont think a nytro on pump gas is going to pull 17-18 psi? but could be wrong.... i i know a apex for its hp, or 270 ish, runs what, 12 psi lower elevation, 14-15 psi at like 7-8k ft? 310 is 17-18 #?

Impulse can run 17 psi on pump gas over 5000' and 15 under I run 19 on straight race gas works great but my arms hurt for a few days after a good ride

17 -20 is safe for stock rods. Running Av gas which i personally found my impulse to not run great on it and run hotter than usual. 17 lbs with .080 inch head shim above 5000 17 lbs on 91 pump is o.k. and below 5000 15 lbs on 91 pump your safe. And by safe i mean paul take extra caution to make sure that number is safe on pump. with the .060 inch head shim 15 lbs on pump above 5000 and 13 below 5000 are more then safe numbers. If you bought one of his kits off the shelf they usually come with the .080 shim. you could email Paul @ impulse or Tyler @ 100 mile house Yamaha he also has alot of knowledge on these kits.
