A 50/50 mix of c12 and 91 pump will give you an octane of 99.5. Av fuel is about 100, but varies a little. If they Av fuel is new you shouldn't have any problems but remember that Fuel losses Octane as it ages.

I run between 8-10lbs on straight av. Av gas can also vary in octane rating as well. People say it's 100, but it does vary.

Yes it will vary but I was told that it may go over 100 but is not suppose to go under 100!

If you leave any gas long enough it will lose Octane. The regulations for av gas are loose in comparison to a guy buying fuel for his race engine. You can run airplanes on farm fuel if you want but you lose the benefit of leaded TEL fuel. Even pump gas at 91 isn't always 91 could be 89 but you would never know. Race fuel is always rated lower then it actually is such as VP-110 has a research octane of 113 but sells as a 107. If I'm wrong correct me but i believe this is true. Av Gas is just around 100 octane and has no guarantee, where as racing fuel is guaranteed to be what you bought.

Very true. If you ask when you buy your fuel, they can supply you with a spec sheet, with the exact number of octane, etc...
I buy it direct from the airport here in town, they need to know what it is at. Regardless, I've never had an issue. I'm 3 barrels in this season...
