Frozen Pirate has been busy training up small groups of sledders almost every weekend this year. With the conditions we are facing in the backcountry now, it's more important than ever to get the basic training you should have before entering the mountains.

Our courses not only cover avalanche safety, but general safety and planning as well. There are many simple little steps that can make you more prepared for a backcountry emergency (help is rarely close by). We need to be better educated, prepared and equipped to deal with these situations.

We offer Avalanche Skills Training Level 1 courses for small private groups in a variety of schedules. The most preferred option is to complete the course with two evening class sessions followed by one full field day. This option allows for personal riding time during the days and education by night. Win!

With new staff on board, we are much more flexible and we can almost meet any schedule.

For more info on the courses, please email curtis@frozenpirate.com

Please pass this info on to those those who need it.

Ride safe
