it's an '86 Yamaha xv-l. it runs on one cylinder but has spark and fuel. compression is 115 on each.

PS when my 800R had 120# is was looking to doo the top end! I don't know anything about Yamaha's, sorry!

Just for **** and giggles not much info to work from when the last time the plugs been change you could do a ohmm test on the coils/coil compress sounds healthy i know you said it had spark but i good of spark a good blue or weak yellow

check your valve springs if one is week or broken you can still have compression on a check but not when it,s running.spark,fuel,and compression means it should be running
