Hello From a Newbie

Picked up our first family sled yesterday after 6 hours of driving to get it. A 1997 Yamaha Exciter II 400 Long Track with a Trail Rider caboose to pull behind it. I am back sledding again, finally. Grew up on the farm in Sask. Dad bought us a brand new Massey Ferguson "Ski Whiz" back when every manufacturer thought there was money to make in snowmobiles. Had two of those before it was time to leave home.

Just wondering. All the research I have done says the Exciter II was not made after 1995. Can't find any info about a 1997. Does anyone know why?

Welcome to this site. Try going to Yamaha canada and see if they have a list of old models that you could check-out. Hope you find what your looking for here.
