I am a new member here, and from what I have seen, this forum looks interesting.
I used to live in West Virginia, but now live in (mostly) sunny Saskatchewan. (I AM Canadian). I have a number of motorcycles (all Yamaha), and three snowmobiles-two Skidoos and an Arctic Cat.
My off-road motorcycling includes trails in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ontario, Saskatchewan, and Michigan. For off-road motorcycles, Michigan is hard to beat.
My snowmobiling experience is far more extensive. I have ridden in 12 different U.S. states, and 6 different provinces. I have yet to ride in Alberta or B.C., but plan to do so this winter. In my experience, Ontario and Quebec snowmobile trails are hard to beat.

I have ridden Montana, Idaho and Wyoming, so I know about the vertical. However, after having ridden the Gaspe, and the Saugenay-Lac-St. Jean area, trails are much my preference. The Gaspe have mountains that go to 4000 ft, but you are starting at sea level. (All these areas are in Quebec). The north shore of Lake Superior also has some spectacular trails.
The one Skidoo has only 33,000 km on it, since I have not done much riding in the past few years (There are not many trails in West Virginia).
