heated shields

Hi
Has anybody put a plug on there sled for a heated shield?I have a 2003 rmk 700 that I want to install one.Were is the best power source?I notice that there is a plug down by my voltage regulator just hanging there it has a brown and yellow wire with a female end will this work?is a fuseable link needed for this?

Any help would be good

Talk to the dealer sometimes there is a plug prewired for one ....my rev had one just a simple plug in
