I noticed today that the Avy hazard for the north columbia and caribou's this weekend is Considerable right from Below treeline right to alpine and Just wanted to give a definition of the CAA, hazard rating of "Considerable"!
ive always found this term to be somewhat misleading,

A hazard rating of Considerable implies "Dangerous Avalanche conditions! Carefull snowpack evaluation required, cautious route-finding and conservative decision making essential!"
"Natural avalanches possible, Human triggered avalanches LIKELY"

The way I think about it is, when the rating is "Considerable" you better dam well "Consider" the possibility of avalanches occurring!

Most Avalanche deaths occur in considerable. Almost every range in BC was considerable from top to bottom yesterday. Avalanche risk was also on the news lastnight.

There re is a huge weak layer from that warm and rainy weather mid December.
