so we made it out to gorman.... i am guessing it snowed about 2-3 ft up top overnight... mostly blue bird day. went into lang and punch 90% of the trail into east quartz. as well turned around and headed into cirque, but the hill from lang to cirque was avy prone. two bluffs come down. After that, we punch the trail into holtz. We had the only tracks in there but real scary. Set off one avy fromthe noise of the two mod sleds in there. Would tred lightly in holtz for now. all in all good day. Trail was slurpee down low. 5000ft it starts to firm up and powder can be had.

Been in the last two Saturday's been lots of new snow each week! Two guys went in to Cirqe yesterday while there buddy's waited for them on lang side. Hope they made it back out, we where almost out of fuel to help them out.
There was a few more sluffing in places and not many slides yet! Some of the hills show no signs of sliding, so when they let go look out! Other then that been haven fresh 2ft each time and lots of it untouched.

We came out of Cirque eventually, and thanks to some very helpful Newfies and the loan of a secondary clutch so did my sled. The snow was even better over at upper Quartz Lk.

Rode Gorman today. White concrete, we weren't even leaving tracks until 2PM when it finally softened up a bit.

Rode Gorman on May 13th. Parked a few clicks past the second staging area, could have drove much further but someone with a trailer had to park in the middle of the road so noone else could go any further either :( Man, not sure what peeps think...road was wide enough to pull aside to park, cuz we all did so he could get out..he didn't really think of himself getting out either if anyone else came...and just in front of him was a road to pull into...but I guess dude was worried about himself and noone else...not sure wtf peeps think and why parking etiquette is so tough to grasp for them.

Trail was a mix of snow and dirt, mostly snow....but that'll change this week -one small avy across the trail, easily passable. Snow was typical spring snow up top...got greasy at the end of the day, was soft all day, no freeze at night. Can cover alot of ground in there right now and the scenery is like no other, always LOVE going to Gorman. :D

Anyone riding May long can access Gorman and find snow...still some spring slides to happen though...

I was up there tuesdy. super iso snow. I just sat above the lake drinking beer and watched wet slides and rocks fall. parked at the 12km mark but by the weekend we should be able to get to the 13km branch road. the lake is still snow = no blue showing.

So, took a blast out in gorman. Conditions were good. Parked 5km past lang turn off. Snow was iso themic by 12. Did the cross over into east quartz, lots of snow. Hit up some nice chutes in the back as well before the lake. Went back and pounded holts up a bit. Sun was out all day... +20. I think it was colder in cow town. :)
