Gearing down?

My friend got really used to the 2.33 ratio of his 146 Freeride. His new SKS 155 is 2.0 and he hates it. My Freeride 154 is 2.58


Any experience out there significantly gearing down these new Pros or SKS's?

I have my 11 pro at 2.27, like it better than the stock 2.10 ratio. Most prefer gearing down a little, 2.35 would be as far as I would go though.

The 3 inch tracks are 2.52:1 when compensating for the 7 tooth drivers and the 2.6 tracks with the Quickdrive are 2.25:1 I geared my 2.6 model down 10% to 2.42 and I really like it. I ride with buddies that have the 3 inch tracks and they pull out of the hole quickly but don't feel nearly as fast as the stock QD setup. I am gearing for the best of both.
