G4 Boards - X or SP?

Have a 17 X with the extruded boards. They seem to clear snow pretty well with the exception right at the front, but it's workable.

I'm looking at ordering a 18. The only feature that really puts me on the fence are the running boards. I upgrade shocks from the get go, so no concern there. How have the SP boards worked this year? Do they clear reasonably well? Are they as strong as the extruded boards on the X?

Having a tough time justifying an upcharge for boards if the SP boards work as well.

Anyone spent some time on both?

Boards are exactly the same for the first 15inch or so off the engine bay... that's where mine hold any snow..

SP, the X boards are supposed to cut through the snow more, I didn't notice anything.

They work great also I notice that my klim boots have taken a real beating, the soles have been destroyed by the boards on my G4 X

Mine as well Ron

Probably 50% gone on the base and 75% gone in the front
Guess I will quit beating those boards with my boots but i like my boards clear for grip
