fuel tank cleaning

just lookin for some ideas here, guy i work with has me goin thru his sleds right now and one of them was left sitting for about 5yrs with fuel in it, he says they had the tank off and steamed it and replaced the line an cleaned out the carbs, but still has issues with the carbs gunking up after only a few minutes of riding anyone know of a way to get rid of it? appreciate any ideas thanks everyone

there is a type of epoxy sealer that you mix up and pour in your tank to coat it comes as a kit not sure what it's called

Go out to the Bumper to Bumper in Edson and buy a can of Seafoam. Its in a white can with red lettering. Dump some fuel in and add the can of Seafoam........if ya can start up......let run for a couple of minutes let sit overnight......will not harm any lines. Its a fuel conditioner, stabilizer etc.........It should be under ten bucks.

il hafta try that got a can of it sittin here for the truck anyways if not il hafta look into the epoxy stuff, thanks guys
