For those of you who have a 6.2L, how do you like them? How is the fuel economy? Any issues with it? I'm looking at buying one and wanted to get some real world reviews. Thank you for posting.

Have some in the fleet, seem to work good so far. Pig on fuel when towing. Left from Edm to Ft Mac towing trailer approx 5500 lbs and had to stop in Grasslands with only 1/4 tank left. Not sure how good the mileage is now that these are broke in as the trucks are in Fort Mac now. No real mechanical issues reported though.

Flogged one for about a month. F-350 SRW loaded up not terrible, around 5K Kg. GVW. I liked it, good power and mileage was better than my 08 6.8 V10. Got around 17-18L/100K. I did drive it hard so keep than in mind when comparing mileage, I had my foot in it all the time.

I have a 2011 with just over 100k. The first 80k was combined towing city and highway. I averaged 17.6l/100km. I never reset the one trip. Now I've changed my business and drive 90% highway empty (way too much truck but that's another story) I get 13.2l/100km for the past 20k. No mods.

Got two buddies that have them, one went from a powerstroke and the other from a duramax. Say they like them a lot empty, less headaches with maintenance and issues but really miss the diesel torque and mileage towing.

If your pulling you will want the 4:30 ratio as these motors need to rev to make power.
Had a 2011 f250 with 4:30 ratio and truck pulled like crazy.
Nice motor . Just keep it in power range and will be very happy.

I have two; (Don't get a F-250 is you want to tow or put a leaf or airbags in they driving in the take off position and have really light steering compared to the F-350)

1. 2011 F-350 XLT with 3.73 with 183,000km and has been solid, just PM and never been to ford. Empty fuel economy with 90% Hwy 10% Town is 17L/100km or ~600 km to 115L. I have gotten 750km to 120L on pure high in one day before but that is the best of the best. Towing that tank drops to 400km ~115L and when I tow I delete 6th gear and 5th gear at 110km/hr is a sweet spot and in really hilly roads I use manual to gear down to 4th before the hill and that way the truck is not screaming in 2nd gear to try to catch back up to 100km/hr.

2. 2014 F-350 Lariat with 3.73 with 2200km and its sweet with the touch screen heated & A/C seats and a pumping stereo (I haven't had a sub since I was 17!!). So far it feels like a dogger compared to my 2011 and the mileage is ~20L/100km so far and I sure hope it gets better. But is sure is a comfy ride :)

Have had my 2011 since new and i have 165000 km, used it for operating with and personal use and i manage 750km to a tank highway empty speed limit, about 500km to a tank city and 500km with 2 sleds on the deck 3.73 gearing, i have had a moderate amount of warranty work but it was nothing with the engine ,my next truck will probably be another 6.2L :)

I have a 2011 ford f250 6.2 gas I love this truck it pulls like a freight train and has plenty of power I tow a 7500lbs travel trailer and it's not gutless, the fuel millage isn't the greatest but that's what you get for a heavy truck, but I have no complaints mind you it only has 60 000 km

10,000 km on a new 2013 F350. Driving the 10% over the speed limit (that the cops seem to give us), I got 15.3 l/100 on the way to Lethbridge yesterday. That's 110 in the 100 zones and it was 120 from Ft. MacLeod to Lethbridge.

The average for the day including driving around the city and coming home in a pretty good head wind was 18.5. I had a quad on the back coming home.
