Three of us are heading out to Mcbride for the first time.
Heard alot of great things.
We usually go to Valemount.

Any suggestions on where to stay?
Secure parking, or close to it, is as asset.

As well, where would you suggest we sled for a few days.
We would like to try a few different areas.
Average riders

thanks for your help
:)

give bbtoys on this site a call he runs a B&B that I hear great things about. As for where to ride, The Renshaw or Lucile, I would recommend that you hook up with someone that has been there before.

Any of the 3 groomed spots will be good to ride. Personally go with no plan where to ride and make up my mind in the morning. Stop in at Spin Drift they will have a good idea where to ride, and easy to find. Just follow the Police Signs to the cop shop and look to your right.

Yah luciell and renshaw are fun places to ride. Renshaw is a huge area. We have alot of the guys stop in at the end of the day to give us accurate snow reports. We also have all avalanche gear for rent and if by chance a persons trip doesnt go as planned we also have sled rentals available, and we are also quite good at making repairs to sleds when we dont have parts, we can repair them to make it thru your trip. But we do have quite a large selection of parts and accesories in stock. If nothin else just stop in the shop and say hi, we always love meetin new people.

Nice to hear you are looking at coming to McBride for a change....it will be worth it for you and you will come back! :)

McBride Mountain Sports is located right on Main Street just when you turn into town. Open 7 days a week 8am to 6pm(open until 9pm on Fridays!), with an emergency/after hours contact # available. We have sled and equipment rentals as well as any of the required gear and all the little things in between! On-site mechanic and large shop.

Besides all the regular hotels available there are several private establishments to rent or B&B's to stay at with secure parking as well. Depending on the type of riders in your party and if you want a longer day or a quicker first run, the moutains here can suit anyone at any level. It is great when you can hook on with some locals to get an idea of where to go and how to do it!
We have maps of all the sledding areas, updates on snow/trail conditions and super great gals to serve you with a smile!

Stop in and let us know you found us on SnowandMud! :)
