Anyone have emergency numbers for Revy and Golden? I was able to find heli numbers in another post. Found SAR numbers for Blue River, Vale, Clearwater and Mcbride.
Want to have them all in my sat. phone.
Hope for all of our sakes I or anyone else will never have to use them!!
I`m sure our family and friends would want it that way..

Lets be extra safe this year!!

I'm hoping one of the Search and Rescue members can address this.

If I remember correct, there is no listing because they have to be call on by local officials (RCMP etc). We as citizens can not call them direct.

It would be nice to have a thread with the numbers to SAR / Helicopters and add them to the top of each riding area as a sticky.

These posts would need maintenance to ensure the numbers were accurate...

We should all be responsible enough to update your SAR numbers. At least prior to each season for sure.. Shouldn't be left to someone else to do that for you. Might get a little sketchy if wrong numbers posted. Wouldn't want to be that person!!

Sorry for not addressing the OP. Having said that:

I would volunteer for my area to update the numbers at least quarterly; but I may have another option:

Usually locals have a better handle on who to talk to when it comes to SAR and Helis. It will become a pain in the A$$ if everyone asks every time they go to a new area on this forum (not that I care). We are all responsible for ourselves and any info must be taken with a grain of salt, but it's not as easy as typing in search and rescue and up pops up what you need. For example, there are riding areas that rely on a rescue service that is not obvious and would be considered a different area all together, I'm sure that everyone is aware of this issue (likely not). A thread like that could address where the resource is and maybe a couple of names of helicopters would be nice, let everyone google their own contact info or provide links to the organization site.

It would be nice to come up with a clean and easy to use thread for this information.

Indy, I understand that yes, people do need to take responsibility and try and find stuff own their own but for some people who do not live in these areas ( we drive over 6 hours just to come sled the mountains) and it is hard to know who to call. I think that a sticky with all the info would be very beneficial for everyone. As a community I think everything we can do to help eachother out and become more safety conscious while still having fun is important. People can still check to make sure the numbers provided are acurate.
