Dragon 700 won't start after rebuild?

I just rebuilt my 2008 polaris dragon pistons,crank . It will start for a second die, and when I go to restart it backfires. Could I have the spark plug wires mixed up? Is the coil closest to the ski's for the mag cylinder?

check compression happen to me on rebuild one of the new rings broke on the first start up

It doesn't matter. Both plugs fire at the same time anyway.
