dim lights

i recently rode my 1996 xlt for the first time in a few years. it ran great except the head,tail,brake,and dash lights were all very dim from starting to full throtle. any ideas whats wrong?

I would start to guess at either the stator or a bad groung somewhere..?

maybe the voltage regulator. got the aftermarket for my 95 xlt for $25.00 in Edmonton. good luck with it!

You might get lucky and clean any rust off the mag if the machine has being sitting out side this could be a problem. if its a fuji engine be very carefully
pulling the mag off you have to use heat and a puller i believe it 212f no higher but better check with Cycle works because the mag over $ 400 stater another $400 been there and wreck that and got lucky
