Corrugated plastic trailer underbody repair.
I had to remove part of the underbody cover to replace the water tank straps.(used heavy angle iron). The straps bent and the tank was sagging.
Well now I have a seam to repair. I purchased a new 4X8 sheet to use as a patch. Just not sure how to attach it. I don't want the wind catching and tearing it off.

I am thinking PL 400 to glue on the patch and maybe a 1x6 treated wood across the frame?

Any idea's would be great.

Thanks

glue and screww would be the best, a lath frame under the original panel with a patch glued and screwed should hold or just replace the whole panel.

The whole panel is like 32 feet long... I could put a support above the seam across the frame. Then secure it.

guess that won't work, mine is several 8 ft pieces. you will have to glue and screw.

It's one piece ???

Huh both my trailers are sections. Front one last to keep the back sides from falling ( over layed like shingles)

Thats a good idea make a 2 foot wide strip glue and screws on the ends. Nothing in the middle to attach to. I will try that. I usually dont back up too fast so the wind will not effect it.

Just got back from BC..............
They use all natural trailer repair methods. There is a special herb/spice that bonds plastic like crazy(no chemical) While the herb mix cures over the next winter ,sip on some growberry vineyard wine and act like it tastes good and you would ultimately know ,if it sucked as well........
Then get the full hieghty satisfaction of a job that should of taken two hours, yet was streched to early spring .....While enjoying the fruits of your labour, take time to enjoy the heady aroma of other well known products grown locally............

You can run a 2x4 inside the belly and screw the new sheet up to it. Use large washers and get some Darco underbelly tape from the Rv store for the seam. Factory look when done. Smear some sika flex around the edge of the Darco tape when done.
