Weights should be fine, you could get a set of Dalton Ajustables and fine tune for the snow conditions and elevation. Best bang for buck would be an RK Tek torsional conversion with a 38 / 34 degree helix (or call Kelsey and see what he recommends - he's always working on a new grind).

I agree that the RK tek clutch set-up works well. I also use a different pri spring. I can build you a clutch kit for your specific riding and such. Give me a call or Pm me and would be glad to answer any of your questons and give you any help i can. I have a couple 2011 M8 snopro ltd`s that we run, as well as my`08 M1000. All these sleds run extremely well.

Tried the other, we had one our 1177 kit it was slow, would run with a xp. Pulled the clutches off our other M1000 bolted on the 1177 and the 1177 sled pulled away and never looked back. Now the sled goes thru the highmarks of XP's with performance parts on them.

Well if a b/b will barely runs with an xp it isnt the clutchings fault! I have a realatively stock M1000 running Rk tek sec stuff and my own primary clutching and yah the xp's aren't a big challenge really.

Thats all i am going to say. Because i am not iterested in getting into a who's is better than who's deal.

Does anyone have any good "stock clutching" suggestions, such as primary weight, and spring combinations?

All with the stock 36 degree helix.

What is everyone running?

MIne's a 2010 but same beast. I don't remember what I am runnign but after a tonne of research I have a new helix, spring and weights... Darn I wish I wrote it down. I will look when I pull the sled home this fall.

the 060 belt is alot more sticky and drags the rpm down 200 rpm and then gring 2 grams off of the weight to get the rpm back?,sounds like a waste of time when you have the same results as leaving it with the stock belt and not grinding the weights
try a 060 belt and grind 2 grams off of your weights, works great with the 2.5 extreme

Yes with the 060 you have to grind the weights to get the rpm back but I gained 5 MPH track speed because the 060 belt is not slipping as much, it takes a lot more power to turn 162" Camo extreme and 046 slips to much and the heat kills the belt quickly (with lots of vents), tried different springs and helix and this seems to work fairly well, seems the 2011 800 pulls better at 8100 than 82 or 83 too, Cutler can works awesome with the senario
