clutch alignment

Hi, I'm trying to align my clutches on my 1973 Jdx8 sound easy but the problem is the engine is a hirth 634 primary clutch is off a yamaha and the secondary is the stock john deere. Any ideas will help i heard you can use a flat bar. How does that work and what do you measure from?

use a carpenter square. aligning the center line of the clutches heres some pics... Pm me if u dont understand...
