we had the meeting all went well. Open a new bottle of coffee cream all good. But we had some discussion about the future of our trail. Some good some not so good. We need a group of local riders come and step up to start to take over the trail duties. The group that is doing it now is tired and need to take a break. Like Lost has said we have no local members in our club. Many locals use it some support it but without locals and dealer support it is hard to continue. Seems we are just spinning our track going nowhere. Possible with this County meeting things may start looking Rossy again but for now its up to locals to step up and if they want a trail in the future get involved NOW or it will be eliminated in the future. Sorry no sugar coating for this post

Glenn:

Part of this issue arises fro the fact that the clubs have all the responsibility for maintaining the trails - but the only legal recourse is to bring the mounties in to charge a non-passholder with trespass. TO your knowledge has this ever been done? This is way different from other Canadian jurisdictions - ie Ontario where registration passes are mandatory.

Interesting - maybe if you went in front of Strathcona County council and said there was an opportunity to have a by-law in place that was similar -
