Chaincase to SLP Can Clearance

Installed a new SLP can and noticed there is only about 3/8 of an inch clearance between the can and the plastic chaincase cover. Is reflective heat tape the best way to prevent the cover from melting or is there something better taht someone else has used?

the "can" should be ceramic coated? that will hold some heat in...and foil tape the chaincase cover.....it you think it still is getting to hot you can get some header rap from some where like lordco and rap the can......then you will have zero problems but I think the tape is all that is needed

All i have is the heat tape on my chain case and nothing bad has happened yet
