CARA 4th Annual Poker Rally and Geocache Event and Ride
Time: Target for 10:30am departure
Date: Saturday, April 30th, 2011
Location: McLean Creek McLean Creek OHV area
Ride type: Family, Intermediate and Advanced groups
Ride destinations: Designated loops have been set.
Ride targeted duration: 10:30am - 3pm
Ride levels:
Family: Speeds vary from 15-25km/h
Intermediate: Speeds vary from 25-40km/h
Advanced: Speeds vary from 35-60km/h
It is asked that each rider evaluate their skills and determine the ride level they are most comfortable with. Speeds are for all trail types (flat, rocky, hills etc.)
After the Poker Rally there will be a BB-Q in the McLean Creek OHV parking lot. CARA supplies the hotdogs, smokies, chips and hot chocolate.
Poker Hands available at registration. Each rider is asked to purchase at least one poker hand. Hands are $10 each or 3-for-$20. Poker-hand purchases close at ~10:00AM.
50% of the proceeds go to CARA club operations and stewardship events; the balance is paid out in the prize pool.
The prize pool is distributed 60%, 30% and 10% respectively for the top two (2) hands and the worst hand.
Each Geocache found by a rider will contain a ticket to be used in a draw for a prize. (answers contained in the pre-ride speech) and ticket for each which will automatically enter you into a draw for door prizes.
