Anyone figure out the best method to black out the fuel cans yet, with success?

And, anyone know where to get the closest match paint pen to the black powder coating?

Thanks!

Fernie used a rubberized rock guard that was good for plastic. I think that seems to be holding up well for him.

Stuff is available at Crappy Tire in a spray can. Get the one for plastic and I used the whole can.

What was the product name? Holding up well so far?
I forget the name Lenny, but it was a "red spray can" and it had plastic as one of the materials that it could be used for. The "black spray can" didn't list plastic as a suitable base material.
Yeah, how's it holding up?

I did that in early November. Put over 1000 km on the sled and it still looks the same except for the removal of the masking tape on the spout……………….how's that for holding up?

Hahahahaha………..I haven't used it yet but it sure looks pretty!

I used a plastic spray paint from crappy tire and it all flaked off after time

I think when the fuel is -20 here in calgary then I pull up to the mountains 3 hours later and its -1... the sweating of the fuel and flexing in the plastic makes it come off.

If you try maybe a spray liner like on truck beds it may stay on but would need to cure. I have heard the dye is the best way to go and no issues with peeling

once it starts flaking or chipping its a pain and gets everywhere fyi
