I have a 2016 T3 174. Stock gears are 19/49.
I switch over to 19/51 and felt a difference.
My riding is around 1900m to 2200m and find I need to run at clicker 4.

Still experiencing a bit of down in rpm in deep or eavy snow. Anyone try a 54 T bottom gear from the 850? I'm I looking in the wrong place?
Thanks.

I ran a touch lower than that in my 15 before boost but had what amounted to a bastardized DJ clutch kit in it too. That gearing should be close, clutching is where you need to look next in my opinion.

Haven't tried a 53T but I am guessing it will be close, there is a good dog leg with 19/51 still.

How many miles on the clutches? How many on the belt?

1300 km.
Original belt

Clean clutches, install new belt. Do the gearing. See how it works after that.

For max performance and reliability for the year, rebuild the primary. A rebuild kit is less than $200.

I ran a QR11 helix, 135/385 primary and 225/330 secondary with 2.72 gearing and it hauled the mail, full shift, within 1/4" of top of primary . Think I was running 16.5 gram pin weight but that was many beers ago and not 100% sure. Thought I read Bnorth has that helix for sale, I would recommend that set up to anyone.

Boom it's gone, I bought the clutch kit and 51 gear

Only got the 51 gear in so far

With new chain and 51 gear, it's all I could do to get chain on, used chain might be better, so I assume 53 won't fit

Felt a difference with 51 gear, seemed more zigny on trail tho, might have to clicker down for that now

I'm rocking the 2.64 gear ratio boosted with dj clutch kit - 14.5 pin weight and different primary spring than what dj calls for - its mint

OK so looks like my 19/51 is good and need so clutching done.
Any recommandation on what and where to get a decent kit?
Cheers.
Dynamoe joe for the win - you just might have to tweak the primary spring and pin weight to your liking - dj called for a 190/320 I think - and 23 grams of weight (boosted) - no good for me at all put a 160/260 in er and 14.5 grams of weight and 2mm oversized rollers from Mott's - and look the F*CK out - she's a god damn animal

I bet you have major track spin. What is your track speed? Do you have coupled suspension? I also tried DJ stuff on two xm 174 sleds. Meh.

To the op-441 Ramps worked best for me. I tried them all and kept coming back to the 441.

I don't really look at my gauges too often to check track speed - she's an animal tho - it'll keep up to an 850 doo with a BD all day and that's only at 7lbs - gonna crank it to 10-12lbsnext trip and gonna send it - the dj ramps not sure what they are but on the bench they are identical to the Tss ramps that came with my kit and they work awesome - the secondary helix from dj was a game changer for me and then getting the primary dialed in with a different spring and the 2mm oversized rollers ohhhh man I absolutely love it - in the trees its mint - the trail it's like a rocket and in the deep she climbs like the wife on my shaft

I didn't like the behaviour of the 441 ramps, prefer DJ mountain or 438

DJ ramps are very close to the 438 but his came out first when doo still had the 441 that engine brake like crap and snap at engagement. DJ/438 is much smoother in the trees

Haha, we are complete opposites, I didn’t like the 438 or DJ mountain ramps. Did tons of testing with each.

So funny too! My 441’s and spring combo start out like my sled is electric. With low engagement it’s really smooth. My buddies look at me funny when I start moving cuz the sled engages quietly and moves without braapin. I found the 441’s more predictable in the trees.

The difference must be the different gearing and clutching. Either that or one of us doesn’t know wtf we are talking about. Haha

I preferred the 441 as well on the etec . But completely different clutching .
Used the DJ /438 ramp in my 880 ptec as it liked it better .
DJ ramp is a 441 except the first portion is a 415 to make it rev quicker which the etec didn’t like .
