Hello all

Looking for information about belly bars and how they attach to a truck.Do they just get welded or are there other alternatives. Any pictures of the belly bars-front and back would help too.
We are just about to purchase our very first slide in camper thus the questions regarding belly bars.

Thanks for any help any of you might be able to do.

I have and recommend Torklift tie downs. For most trucks they are bolts ons. They aren't really bellly bars, more like small receivers that bolt to the frame on the front and usually slide into the receiver hitch on the rear. You can also get the Happijac brand that attach to the front of the bed.

You have to make sure you plan it all out ahead, for example if you ever plan to tow heavy and end up upgrading your hitch receiver to a superhitch (also a torklift product) you'll have to buy new tiedowns for the rear.

I think DSP may also make tiedowns but I don't know anythng about them.

You may want to check kijiji, I see the tiedowns on there sometimes. That's where I found mine.
