Where did you order from?
each or for the pair?
For those of you considering putting in helmet speakers to be used with the BCA radios.....
I just installed my speakers into my helmet and tired it. It appears the BCA radio port is Mono so only one speaker is working. I installed a 3.5 mono to 3.5 stereo adapter and it's working great. When someone talks it seriously sounds like they are inside your heard!
Also a caution about mic location. I had mine on my right shoulder but it was interfering with my Air bag deploy handle. Definitely don't want that. I now have the mic mounted center chest on the chest strap. Perfect location. Just tilt your head down slightly when talking as it makes a big difference clarity wise.
Hope this helps....

Also does anyone have any real world experiance with the distance these are good for? I've seen a few views 2.5miles if the is real accual distance with trees and what not in the way that would be more then enough.

On the low frequency channels they are easy 3km on mild terrain. About 1km on steep trees terrain. And on the high frequency channels It will do 3+ in all conditions no problem. Never really use the high power channels though
only problem i have with these radio's is the nobs on the mic get frozen up in deep snow. Other than that they are awesome.

Yea they knobs will freeze up but it's always on the channel you want and at full volume so it doesn't really matter. They will move. Had my mic freeze up for the first time last weekend just blew into the mic opening to remove the snow and all was well just keep an eye on it
Yeah its not a big issue, but if you go to change the channel(as I do some times) you have to thaw it out with you hands or some thing.
