I am now a dealer for Baofeng radio's. I have put together a package with the Baufeng UV82HP, Nagoya NA-771, 15.6 Inch High Gain Antenna and BaoFeng QHM22 Platinum Series Speaker Mic. Price for one will be 169.00 and 5 or more 149.00. It will include free shipping and free programming*. All radios will be tested before shipping.

Standard free programming will by FRS and GMRS channels, BC RR channels, and Ladd channels. Extra channels (for all, you need to email me the info) will be 10 for the first radio and 5 for the next ones.

I have been using these all season and have been very pleased with them.

Things to note
1. If you are riding deep pow and mic is constantly getting covered with snow you will need to put some type of sock over it. (not supplied). I just use a small plastic bag
2. I put mine in a Tupperware to protect it and having the PTT accidentally pushed.
3. I am only selling these as a package and not separately at this time.
4. Stock should be in late next week.

There have been to many cases this season with guys getting lost, one with tragic results. This radio are dual channel ( you can listen to channels at once) and dual frequency ( VHF and UHF). They will work with BCA radio and other radios using FRS and GMRS.

I would encourage each riding area to set up a emergency channel which you could monitor on channel B while each group could have there own frequency on channel A.

Ah... This sounds like an excellent deal. I already got the radio though, but anyone starting out I'd recommend this package deal for sure.

Have you compared this 15.6 inch antenna with the original V-85 antenna? It looks like it would work better. Your price is reasonable. Thanks for offering an easier way to buy these Baofeng radios vs waiting for them to get delivered from China.

I actually haven't yet. Just what I read online the 771 makes a big difference. I can get 17KM range from my house to downtown Pemberton. In the mountains and in trees range can vary drastically.

Are they rechargeable? If so, NiCad or lithium?

That's awesome! I already have 3 baofeng radios so I might have to look into those antennas. I am glad I bought my baofeng radios. They work great and the range you get with them is much better than the regular frs/gmrs radios. I also have mine set up to be a local police scanner. I'm sure the people that buy these radios from you will be happy with these radios.

I'm not sure if you have the Transmit function disabled on the Police frequency, but I would highly recommend that people disable TX on any channels that you are monitoring and do not have a licence to Transmit on. Radio frequencies are a Federal mandate and the fines can be astronomical if caught with a radio that can transmit on non authorized channels. I'm not an expert on this subject...but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express once...

Yes I have duplex disabled on the police and weather frequencies and can not transmit. It would be really stupid not to have these radios programmed properly.

Does this deal come with the charger?

Yes it does. Stock antenna too and manual. You can also download free programming software from CHIRP. Does not come with programming cable though.

Do tell more.

Just a rumour I heard last week. Too many guys abusing their radios so Industry Canada is being forced to do something about it. For those that don't know....you require a ham radio license to "legally" operate these radios, and even that doesn't allow you to "legally" use them on commercial channels below 144 Mhz and above 148 Mhz. such as resource road frequencies. I personally don't care. I love these little radios and will keep using them RESPONSIBLY.

Anyone ever use CHIRP and a Mac laptop?? Mine won't connect to my Yaesu. (Sorry if I'm hijacking, but I also got a bunch of friends that use the Bao radios with great success).

Stock finally came in and I will begin shipping next week. I am still working on a frequency list so if you are planning to order and want certain common frequency please list what you would like in this thread. So far I have the FSR/GMRS main channels, BC resource road channels, LADD, MURS. If anyone wants the marine channels I could add them too.

So an up date on my stock. I thought everything came in but it was just my remote mikes and antennas. The radio were shipped DHL from Hong Kong and went out to be delivered Apr 6th by Loomis. I was away sledding and phoned loomis on the 11th and they had already shipped them back. I got a hold of a DHL tracking specialist and they were able to find them still in Richmond on the 14th and said they would get them out to me. When I check the waybill again they are on there way back to Hong Kong. WTF . So if you are one of the people waiting for some radios I can not tell you when I am going to see them at this time.
