A good friend of mine went up into Sinclair on Wednesday and these are his pictures. He said the snow conditions were extremely hard and wind blow, but with heavy loads on the side slops. They were on there way home and he decided to take one last poke at a hill in the entrance bowl.... he was very lucky to have survived!! They were all wearing avalanche gear, but Mike did manage to swim out as he went down with the snow....

He was very lucky!! He has a new appreciation for life.... he was quite shook-up...

A person never knows how you would react if it ever happened to you. Would you stay in the sport or quit? It is something as you get older you start thinking about alot more when you are on the hill thats for sure.

Thanks for the pics. That was a pretty sizable slide, the crown looks HUGE. Scary. I'm glad that everyone was able to walk away from this. Play safe out there peeps, we are getting pounded with lots of fresh and with the wind we've had, lots of windloading and unstable snow. :(

I was caught in a slide 3 years ago and it is amazing how different I think about things now.... I always ask myself.... is it worth the risk??? I have a fantastic family at home.... and I really want to make it back there safe and sound at the end of the day....
