just got back from mcbride
rode the renshaw, made it to the end of the trails of the south dore and the north dore.
dug several snows-pits and realized the avydanger is extreme.we left for home a day early.all the heavy wet snow and rain will cause an extreme unstable snowpack.
lots of little slides everywhere.
if you feel uneasy don't ride.have a safe rest of the season.

McBride Conditions

Just back last night as well, rode Renshaw Friday and Saturday. There was a slide at 2km on the trail and the groomer was there early Friday morning to clear, along with a couple guys from Forestry. There has been a lot of rain down low and heavy snow up top. Friday was pretty good, and the start of Saturday not bad, however the snow started along with the wind and 7 of us were over in the back and had to GPS our way out due to whiteout conditions. Along the way we met another two groups by the Notch and all managed to get ourselves back to the cabin. Trail was not groomed after Saturday as the temp was above 0, trail was pretty rough coming out. Rode Bell sunday as it was pouring in Town, but actually got above the cloud cover and only light snow up top, had about 6 - 8 inches fresh snow to play on.
