Are 02 ZR 44o sno pro engines the same as the 03 ZR 440?

Just wondering if the 02 440 is the same engine as the one in an 03???

I belive they are the same... laydown twins that started the whole "laydown Twin" thing. However, the 2002 440 is labled as a AW44L1 and the 2003 440 is a AW44L2. Maybe somthing changed in the 2003?
