A buddy bought a 2014 xm x at an auction and paid 7450$ for the sled with a remaining two year of warranty on it. Great deal however there is a bunch of damage to the tunnel. Who ever owned it before must had a chainsaw on the back of the tunnel improperly mounted as it left some deep scratches and and a few gouges leaving metal burs stuck between the cooler tunnel lines. I have no experience with metal work. The damaged area can't be covered by a wrap and the only easy user friendly way of fixing it I thought would be finding a spray can that has a similar finish as the tunnel. Before paint what would you use to smooth the jagged edges?

brp makes a plastic cooler protector that would cover that up, but i would just purchase a jerry can and bag and let it buck

i agree, and maybe just take a black spray can to the top first.... With the skidoo linq hold down system(jerry can and bag) at least snow can get on top of the coolers to help keep it cool...
