I hade one of these come my way for free. its a Z-STAR ATV150B. it seems to run pretty well but I've got a few questions.

1-is the battery a 6 or 12 volt? I put a 12v in as it had no battery but it keeps on frying a fuse by the battery. now I also jumped some wires from the starter because there was no ignition. I now have the fuse out and touch the wires together to be able to start it and need to disconnect them to kill it.

2-it wont stay in gear.... keeps kicking in and out and grinding. I'm sure something is stripped inside. would it be difficult to take apart?

3-is there anywhere in the Edmonton area that has parts for these machines?
