Just found this site and am really impressed. I'm from Grande Prairie and doo most of my riding in Kakwa or North Eastern BC. Been riding Ski-Doo most my life and am picking up a new to me 07 Summit 800 later this week. Lookin forward to talkin with locals and possibly finding some new places to ride.

It's getting cooler, saw some more snow in the area last night, should be getting some accumulation in the hills, we'll have to go for a drive this weekend and take a look.

Kakwa is not closed, just certain areas. There is still a ton of area open for riding. Check out the Swan City Snowmobile Club {Grande Prairie} website, they have maps posted on whats open and what isn't.
