I got my sled back yesterday , they replaced the diamond drive. Apparently the pins sheared in the planetary gear?? Also for the record the factory diamond drive is $900.

One item to note is that the DD gears are welded together (gear to gear shaft). At least on my 06 and in the 07's too. Not sure about 09. New gears supplied by BD are one piece since they had identified that the welds had potential to break. A couple friends have found hairline cracks on the welds of their stock gears. Caught it in time! They now run the one piece gears without any issues.

Black Diamond.

Planetary gears piled up in my 07 m1000 also(burnt look around gears & little pin needle bearings all over in case with chunks of metal. Was not covered on warranty & at the time oem was completely out of stock? BDX air frieghted his without reverse to revy & finished our week of riding. Also, my reverse hardly ever was used & routinely serviced. There was 1100 km on when happened & now have 2600 km. Hope this helps.
