I find myself more and more drawn to the analytic side of hockey.

Is anyone else finding it really interesting?

That's a riddle, smarty pants!

I mean more critical thinking stuff... Like WOWY numbers, or ES Save Percentage. ETC.

I just find it one more way to take the human aspect out of the game and make it more like a video game.

I feel the same way, that said some of the SAP analytics from the playoffs last year predicted fairly accurate results. I still prefer to go for gut feel though, less accurate and more fun.

Obviously the numbers aren't gospel... BUT I think its fascinating to use the numbers to back up what you're seeing on the ice.
