I never seen a domestic bird that was trained as well as this little fella and he was pure wildlife but knew how to get fed, hung around our site for the first three days and then must have found better grub somewhere else!
It was amazing!

A few years back, while at the cabin on vacation, we had a little bird show up with a group of other similar birds. After eating from the feeder, the majority of the birds took off, except for one. This bird stuck around, seemingly enjoying the view and getting a little R&R. It would drink from the dogs water, and then made itself comfortable on the ground next to us. When we went into our day room tent to eat and play cards, it squeezed itself under the wall (no floor in the tent) and proceeded to join us inside the tent. It would fall asleep next to us although we were loud and moving around a lot. It was as though it knew us and was not scared.

For three days this went on. It was gone on the fourth.
