Altitude Acurracy

How accurate are the altitude readings on the XM? Anyway to calibrate them? Mine is out 700' right now!!

i wouldnt count on it. its a barometric altitude sensor so its not accurate and will vary. its just to give you a general idea. gps is the only true way to get a somewhat acurate measurment and that certainly isnt whats in the xm

There was a way to calibrate them on the pteks from what I recall. Never found the need to.

As mentioned it doesn't read off gps but rather pressure which on any given day may result in a different reading at the same elevation.
