We are proud to host the Family Day ATV rally again this year and celebrate the 40th anniversary of SnoMo Days!

It's a great way to spend the day with friends, family, and fellow riders. The rally will consist of 5 checkpoints. We will have a bonfire at checkpoint #3 where refreshments and hot dogs will be provided to all registered riders.

Remember to respect the environment and the private land-owners.

2WD machines are discouraged without studded tires or chains.

PLEASE NOTE - All participants must meet the following requirements:
Valid insurance, registration, license, approved helmet and appropriate clothing for the elements. The ride will only be cancelled if the temperature drops to -20 Celsius.

Is the trail as short as last year? Any trail maps available?

At the request of the local residents, the club does not release maps electronically. The ride was a bit short the past couple years because the river wasn't completely frozen over. Normally it is about 46km. We have yet to determine if the river portion will be good to go or not but have heard reports that there may be open water closer to the lake. I'll try to keep everyone posted.

Any news on this? I would like to decide whether it's worth the drive or not.

The rally is definitely still on, especially since it looks like may get a bit of a break from the weather man. However, I am unsure if the river/lake leg of the rally will be in or out. Hopefully, I'll have an answer for everybody later today.

I'm very sorry to report that the river/lake leg of the rally will be bypassed again this year due to open water.

Even with these temperatures, huh? That's too bad. So it's going to be fairly short again this year? I assume the lake is frozen, no? I know we parked on it last year. It would be pretty cool to add a track or something of that sort on the lake to extend or add to just the trail ride.

Well, that's normally the goal. We ride a few km along the river from checkpoint 4 and then across the lake to the boat launch - very fun IMO. I'm not sure we have another option when there's open water on the river.
